Auer Lighting vertraut auf fortschrittliche Technologie von HORN
Als Tochterfirma der HORN Glass Industries AG erhielt die JSJ Jodeit GmbH von Auer Lighting den Auftrag über eine neue 20 t/d Hybrid-Schmelzwanne für das Werk in Bad Gandersheim. Der Auftrag umfasste die Schmelzwanne für die Produktion von Borosilikatglas mit drei Vorherden und einem Übergang zu bereits bestehenden Vorherden.
Um sowohl den Einschmelzvorgang als auch das Läutern des Glases zu unterstützen, sind mehrere elektrische Zusatzbeheizungen (HORN E-Fusion Power Boosting) im Boden der Schmelzwanne eingebaut. Damit kann die maximale Tonnage besonders flexibel sowohl mit 100% fossiler Energie als auch mit bis zu ca. 30% elektrischem Anteil geschmolzen werden.
Mit der Inbetriebnahme der neuen elektrischen Glasschmelzwanne wurde ein weiterer wichtiger Schritt in Richtung Produktion mit geringerem CO2-Ausstoß gemacht. Diese Hybrid-Schmelzwanne ist ein Beispiel für die Anpassung an veränderte Marktanforderungen bei gleichzeitiger Performance-Verbesserung. So kann der Wannenbetreiber jetzt äußerst flexibel auf Energiepreisschwankungen durch Verschiebung des Elektroenergieanteils bei gleichbleibend guter Glasqualität reagieren.
