Should we be afraid of Artificial Intelligence? That is a question which has become increasingly on everyone's lips as the rise of this technology continues into everyday life.
To allay our fears, we spoke to a number of glassmakers and technology suppliers for their views. Their answers were overwhelmingly positive.
The use of AI in the industrial workplace can help transform the industry as well as workers lives. It can remove those jobs which are laborious and routine and allow staff to take on more rewarding roles.
We have contributions from Sisecam, GCA, Emhart, Glass Service, Iris Inspection, FAMA, Vertech’ and Cerrion on this, as well as articles from Tiama, Heye and AGR on digital glassmaking.
We also speaker to Sotuver about the Tunisian glassmaker’s recent furnace investment, IPGR about the construction of its research facility, and French research group Cerfav.
