30 years of global success in window production

With automated production, a diverse product range, and a strong focus on sustainability, Oknoplast continues to set industry standards. Discover how this Krakow-based company maintains its global presence and commitment to excellence.

The Oknoplast Group has been producing aluminium and PVC windows near Krakow for three decades. These have not only conquered the European window market, but are also in demand worldwide. With around 3,500 partners and an annual production of around 2.3 million window units in Poland and Spain, this success is largely based on one central factor: quality.

In addition to quality, other factors contribute to the global success of the Oknoplast Group. The production process is largely automated in order to minimise human error and ensure high product quality. The Polish and Spanish plants manufacture high-quality branded products every day, the quality of which is reliably monitored by experts.

Diversified product range

The Oknoplast Group now unites six brands under one roof, including Oknoplast, Aluhaus and WnD. This diversification makes it possible to serve different customer groups while always prioritising quality. The product range extends from aluminium solutions to PVC windows and new aluminium pergola louvre roofs.

Customer focus and flexibility

Another success factor is flexibility and a strict focus on customer requirements. Windows and glazing are important functional and visual elements of a building and are subject to constant architectural changes. Oknoplast focuses on research and development in order to recognise trends at an early stage and take regional characteristics into account. The company offers special products for different markets, such as sliding windows for Italy, renovation frames for France and weather-resistant windows for Florida.

Financial strength and strategic adjustments

Oknoplast achieved a result of around 385 million euros in the last financial year. "We owe this result, especially under difficult market conditions in 2022 and 2023, to a consistent corporate strategy that includes diversification and flexible adaptation of the offer," says Mikołaj Placek, President of the Oknoplast Group. This strategy strengthens the company's position as one of the leading window and door manufacturers in Europe.

Environmental awareness and sustainability

Łukasz Marzec, Chief Operating Officer of Oknoplast, emphasises the growing importance of sustainability. "We are focusing on improving production while minimising our environmental impact." Oknoplast has been awarded the ISO 14001 certificate, which confirms the successful reduction of its environmental impact. The production facilities are among the most environmentally friendly in Europe.

Efficient use of resources

In order to meet the highest global environmental standards, Oknoplast has made technical and technological changes. Gas consumption in the factories has been reduced by 50 per cent and electricity consumption has been significantly reduced thanks to photovoltaic systems and LED lighting. In the foiling department near Krakow, the environmental impact has actually been reduced by 95 per cent.

Recycling and circular economy

Oknoplast produces window profiles in a closed cycle using recycled materials. Two,000 tonnes of waste are recycled and reused every year, making the Group's windows the most environmentally friendly in the industry. "This ecological thinking has become deeply ingrained in the value system of our employees," concludes Mikołaj Placek.
