Das Aktionsforum Glasverpackung zeichnet mit der „Produktinnovation in Glas“ die besten und innovativsten Produkte aus der Getränke- und Lebensmittel-Branche aus, die in Glas verpackt sind.
Als etablierte Auszeichnung der Branche wurde die „Produktinnovation in Glas“ 2019 bereits zum sechsten Mal verliehen. Sie gliedert sich wie in den vergangenen Jahren in die Kategorien „Kleine Unternehmen“, „Mittlere und große Unternehmen“ und „Publikumsliebling“.
Als „Kleine Unternehmen“ gelten Unternehmen mit bis zu 50 Mitarbeitern. Als „Mittlere und große Unternehmen“ gelten Unternehmen ab 51 Mitarbeitern.
Eine unabhängige Jury hat die Einreichungen bewertet, für die Kategorien „Kleine Unternehmen“ und „Mittlere und große Unternehmen“ jeweils die drei besten Produkte ausgewählt und die Gewinner festgelegt. Den Gewinner der Kategorie „Publikumsliebling“ wählten die Besucher des Trendtag Glas, indem sie nach der Präsentation der Nominierten direkt vor Ort für ihr Lieblingsprodukt abstimmten.
