Batch and cullet plant specialist Zippe from Wertheim, Germany has reported a 30% increase in demand for its engineering services.
Its 2019 numbers were up by a third from 2018, which was already a peak year.
Its management said: “Besides the fabrication, delivery and commissioning of high-tech equipment for batch and cullet plants, we are also happy to see a strong increase in the services segment.”
“Glass producers outsource more engineering resources today, as they are increasingly focused on the production, marketing and selling of high quality glass products.
“We are happy that our almost 100 years of experience in this sector is being recognised by customers all around the world.”
It has strengthened its capabilities in laser scanning and 3-D modeling, which means its 45 engineers in the engineering department have modern tools to support customers in an efficient way, creating safe, clean and cost-effective solutions.
It said: “Besides a strong year with a significant increase in turnover in the realisation of batch and cullet plants, including single equipment, we are happy to also see a solid growth in engineering services.
“We work closely together with the engineers from our customers all around the world and we mutually benefit from each other’s experience. We work with other engineering companies from different fields to complement services for our customers,” it added.
