Glasswool is a very high-tech product. For the past 70 years, Saint-Gobain Isover has constantly improved its qualities and performance and each year files dozens of patents. Today´s glasswool has nothing to do with that made in 1970. That is why at ISOVER, we talk about “glasswools” and not glasswool in the singular as there is such diversity in the range, in terms of features, performance and formats.
Thermal performance has been improved by 20 % in just 10 years: 15 cm of ISOVER wool (lambda 30 wool) insulates as much as 20 cm thick wool at lambda 40. Furthermore, ISOVER wools are now less irritant when bare and can also be covered with soft veils to improve laying comfort
